Oldmes Time is an interesting strain with a rich history linked to activism and significant cultural events. The Ancón Festival in 1971, which is compared to the Colombian Woodstock, was a crucial point in the history of cannabis in Colombia. At that event, hippies from different parts of the world brought cannabis varieties, contributing to the exchange of seeds and the propagation of new strains. The Oldmes Time variety appears to be a hybrid that combines characteristics of Mexican and Colombian strains, also influenced by varieties grown in California. This type of hybridization during the 1960s and 1970s was common among cannabis activists and enthusiasts seeking new experiences and effects.

The fact that varieties at that time came with seeds and were exchanged between consumers helped the genetic diversification of the strains available in different regions. This not only enriched the genetic profile of the strains, but also fostered a culture of exchange and collaboration among cannabis activists.

RIP. Olmes Ortiz was one of the attendees at this event and was the one who organized the world marijuana march in South America in 2009. This strain is named after old olmes to remember the old days of activism and classic cannabis. The combination of its terpene profile and its dense resin makes it suitable for these processes.
